The only You tuber I follow is Buckin, Billy Ray.Or rather I watch blocks of his stuff every month or so.Along with him there is maybe only one other person who I tune in to.He just inspires me....

This jacket was given to me by a good friend when I left Premier Trees and I wanted to keep it for when I became a trainer. That day is almost here.I am now following my dream at last.To infinity....and beyond[emoji573][emoji16][emoji269]

Just before leaving the Lakes I parked up...I rang up a training provider I had sent a C.V too a few week previously.I mentioned that I was passing on the way up to the North. The Training manager there said i could come and see them if i liked which i did.Two weeks ago I was asked if I would like to delivery some training for them in August.....This is my first official work and I am about as happy as I could ever wish to be!

I am always searching for that place where I can settle and evolve myself and for me that is the world of training. It,s what I felt I wanted to do since day one...As i left the campsite after my day working with Hodge i kept remembering how happy I was after my course at LANTRA House.I knew that I would have to go down a different route if I was to find work in that area so.....

My City is evolving...The very old and the very new (We now have an Odeon "Luxe") with large reclining seats and State of the art Screens. This build works well in this setting...

And it,s been great to see my old college friend return to Arb.There were a few of us who have made our mark in some way in this Industry.I,m very proud of that fact so I wish Eddie and Precision Arborists the best for the future and I will happy to help at weekends anytime!

We continued together up until now with Eddie doing the falls and me dismantling and over the weeks he put a team together and added kit.
-
So me and Eddie got to work together again after almost 25 years.First job was abit of an odd one.Someone had decided to set fire to a rather large Beech tree..

I,m almost at that bit.Remember I completed this course at the time of my 50th Birthday last year? I just couldn't,t find a way in to my local college. It was a very closed shop and jobs rarely came up so I continued to work as a tree surgeon but I still knew what I wanted to progress to More about that later.

Fast forward a couple of months......and he has not wasted anytime in carrying on from where he left off all those years ago! And I am very pleased to say that he asked me to climb for him while he got a team together.

I showed him how a cambium saver can be installed from the ground and then the rope and finally a ZigZag it set ready to get to the first branch.I could see he was eager to give it a go.....I did ask if he wanted a helmet.

This year for a few people I know it,s about following their dream. After many years in New Zealand,Eddie returned to the North East of England. In March,Fresh off the Aeroplane I met him for the first time since 1996 in the last place i saw him. The Beech woodland next to Houghal College. At college he was easily the fastest person up to the top of any tree. That was a long time ago.He moved away from Arb after leaving for Kiwi land.Last time he climbed it was on a prussick many years ago.Anyway I arranged to have our re- union where we trained to climb and I wanted to show him the advancements in equipment since our Willans and Three strand days.
