  1. You did good Jon, but today's Gold Medal (for me) goes to this 72 year old.
  2. Not only did he strip out the tree so Smoothly...being on the ground snedding. Crosscutting and basucally processing the branches was made easy by this thoughtful climber.However......He was udung ZigZag on blue tongue through a Teufelberger pulley saver so even in the slippery-est lichen covered Sycamore tree (IN THE POURING RAIN) Was text book......Just Sayin:)

  4. Midday means Dinner break! I am a great believer in as many pauses and breaks in the day as is nescessary to boost Moral...stamina and therefore productivity...it's not rocket science:rolleyes: I go down the Chippy...couldn't find Tuna so sttled for cod...time to meet the client and he was kind enough to supply a heater in his Man Cave and Coffee and a look round his creation....in 1972 he took 18 inches out of the middle of a Range Rover...joined it up with a 3.5 V8...what a noise from it!
  5. Meanwhile we kept chipping and Jon kept dismantling and the rain hammered down...
  6. Bloke turned up to collect cord wood /logs. He Built this trailer in 1968 (same age as me:))....he is 72 by the way and loaded the trailer himself very quickly up until climber chogged lumps directly into it...
  7. Twas delicious treeswinger!...An Army marches on it's stomach and that sure was fuel in the tank for what was on the cards today. RAIN....Lot's of it and all day long! What d'ya do? You crack on mate! Plough on...it's a outdoor job...rough with the smooth:rolleyes: Job Spec;Sycamore dismantle on roadside...Traffic Managment in place on two blind bends. GrsyGit in the harness...man with trailer...capable of carrying 16 tons. CRACK ON!!!

  10. What better way to start a very wet day, than a simple bacon omlette (3 eggs) with a tiny sprinkle of Extra mature cheddar...
  11. Going to try the RCO diet....first an omlette...then protein bar and for lunch.Tuna!

  15. I run my ropes through pulley/cambium saver every tree so species shouldn't matter (in my opinion)

  20. It is a tipper Jon. Not sure where he's from. He's a very private chap. Think he just gets on his bike and rides all night until its time to climb.very complex character...not even sure what he looks or sounds like:rolleyes:
