  1. Haven't they got vibram soles?

All vibram sole boots I have ever owned have been treacherous on wet wood.

Are the Zermatts ok on wet wood?

yes slippy on wet wood ,ex boot though ,had mine 3 yrs now and very comfy.

soles are starting to wear now and would have liked a different sole to the vibram,

when new you feel like herman monster clumping around till they break in

  2. Might be worth considering a van vault - both a deterrent and difficult to break into, assuming it'll fit in your truck. Sorry to hear about your loss!

i just use a bicyicle cable lock on the back of the truck through the handles on my saws, in the back as far too easy when driving through town and in traffic for some scrote to grab and run

  3. had the padlock smashed of the yard at the weekend in gloustershire .they took some unseasoned popular rings .left the seasoned lengths alone as were too far from the road i think,

so make sure your yards are secure lads

  4. My top handle has developed a problem that when you press the throttle it will stall unless you tap the throttle to bring the revs up. Also it will stall on idle, this i solved by re tuning it but after about 5 mins use it goes back to how it was before again. Any ideas what is wrong with it?

    Thanks

check the inlet manifold rubber tube mine had split at the rear underneath where you cant see untill you strip it

  5. hi, seem to have an air lock in tank. when refuelling, fuel will rise up to top of filler neck. then when arrive at job tank level is half full. tried rocking the machine when filling it up and it goes down a very small amount. anyone had or know of a solution to this problem?

are the tanks fitted with a breather? if so might be worth looking at that, could be blocked

  6. I have a Japa 700 with a 12 inch circular rip saw fitted as OE fitment. Time for a sharpen so want to look into options.

Firstly I've had to order a 41mm socket in order to get the retaining bolts off. Once I have it off there is a company 20 miles away that say if I deliver them the blade it'll cost £25 to sharpen. So that'll take 80 miles of driving and 3 hours of my time. I've been looking online for a replacement (come spare blade) cost and there seems to be suitable new blades from £80. Can anyone recommend a saw blade supplier in the UK? If I can get one for under the £80 I probably wouldn't bother getting the old one sharpened.

    hi baz ,

give sawtec a bell he will pick up ,sharpen and deliver back to you 02380653329 picks up all over the country, and if you can get a new blade for 80 quid let me know cos i want one for that price

  7. It is possible it is the infamous accelerator pump issue, a known good carb will tell you one way or the other! If it is a carb issue, sometimes an ultrasonic clean can resolve it but other times it needs the pump to be blanked off or the whole carb replaced.

    hi spud,

thanks ive got a ultrasonic cleaner for my diving regs,

what fluid do you use? degreaser ok? by the pump you mean the air pipe to the carb that operates the diaphram ?
