  1. Hope it turns out more useful than mine. Piled some split logs by my door within one metre of the cat flap with two cats going in and out all day. Rat took up residence! cats did nothing. Would understand if it was some huge horrible rat with big yellow teeth but it was only a little un. Spoilt on too much whiskas I guess. Get a dog.
  2. been sliding around reducing slimy sycamores in constant rain. Had a mate with me who offered his services when my usual guy couldn't make it. It was his first taste of tree work and I don't think he'll be back for more in a hurry The chipper broke so every thing had to be loaded and slashed through with the saw and meant I had to go back to finish up today, again in constant rain. The nicest folk you could ever wish to work for, great cup of tea in the hand every time my feet touched the floor with plenty of cookies, actually made it all enjoyable. oh, it did stop raining briefly once. That was when we got in the truck to go home:huh:
  3. Don't try this, you will waste hours and and hours, days and days. ...... It's good fun though.
  4. makita electric stuff, drills etc, are really good, the best. I've been in building as well as trees, but I've never been impressed with their petrol powered stuff. I,ve only had makita things on hire for tree work, but find they're not as robust (switches and placcy bits fall off) and they seem more tempermental running wise than others. When they run well they're good, but they don't seem to run well for long.
