  1. Here goes....

Feed the throw line through the BIG eye of the cambium saver, BEFORE you throw it around a limb.

Throw the weight bag, lower it all the way to the ground and remove the weight.

Pass the throwline through the small eye of the cambium saver and re-attach the weight.

Pull on the running end of the throwline and the cambium saver will 'run' up the rope. Give it a good yank to pull it over the branch and the lower the weight to the ground.

Remove weight and attach climbing line to throw line and pull through.

    Hope this makes sense!!!:001_cool:

  2. There were a few cases where gypos were going round in really fancy smart work clothes and sign written vans. The head gypo would knock on the door looking all smart, customer would think "oh lovely, he's proffesional" give them the job and then the roughest looking things would turn up for the grunt work.

I know that it shouldn't matter, but people(customers) see things and make assumptions. Eg- Shiney new gear means that he MUST be good.....

  3. I get that sometimes. it worries me that they will get burgled or some catastrophe will happen when they have left the house open for us and ill get the blame. I always politely say no thanks!

That was the sole reason. You just don't want the responsibility. One old dear offered to leave her house open for us. We politlely declined. She gave us a puzzled look and asked "What if you need the loo?"

As we're standing in an enormous garden, on the edge of a wood. My mate told her that we'll just go home if we need to!!

  4. oh by the way I also clean my harness and helmet in the dish washer ! also no soaps chemicals nothing at roughly about the the same time 40 mins only problem till now is after use of the dishwasher it might smell so to overcome this I let the dishwasher run once through with a tab in it I hope this info helps you out !!

Hiya Pete. I'm not knocking this mate, I'm genuinely interested. But isn't the heat of the dishwasher liable to weaken the helmet eventually? Couldn't you just wipe it down instead of dish washing it?

  5. i agree with that sorry this has nothing to do with the thread but chances are if any action is taken the outcome will be no charge due to the crazy laws and loopholes all over the shop to which people seem to get away with murder. or in the other hand if there are charges they want be nearly enough to repair the damage so to speak.

Could've been worse, I'm suprised the pikey's didn't sue cause they got sawdust in their eyes!!!!:sneaky2:

  6. Is this the same little saw that has fuel and oil caps on the front next to dog teeth. Correct me if I'm wrong, (I could well be!!!) but didn't the US market have to do a product recall?? Something to do with petrol leaks and ignition/fire risks..

I'll have a look and see if I can find a link...
