Its quite difficult to collect a colony that is not swarming but can be done. I have only ever collected swarming colony's. I will ask for some advice on it and get back to you. I am interested but busy with my tech cert until next week. Im sure one of the local beekeepers will probably be in a better position to come and get them then I am.
Cheers Will

I work as a climber so don't get to do woods work to much but yea its hard work. Rewarding though. Id like to do more woods work, id also like to start up a nursery growing native trees of local provenance. Its finding the time to do it all that's tricky.

My Friend lived there last year. I went up and made some shingles and did some coppicing. They do great food up there, lovely pizzas from the earth oven. Im owed a course for a days work I did up there, I will let you know what its like when I finally get round to sorting it out. I have seen some of things people have made there, really top stuff.

I had a look at your estates website last month because I didn't know where it was. I used to work as a groundsmen for the Longleat estate. The lifestyle was great but I needed to make some money and get a proper contract so I left. I look forward to seeing some photos of the trees on the estate.
My boss has been at it for while so has built up a great client base. It makes all the difference if you get a few nice jobs.
