  8. How can you be semi retired at 38?

  10. How is your new job going? i hope you are enjoying it.

  11. I am glad the funeral went well. I had a friend in helmingham who was dying of cancer of the lungs and spine,i used to visit him and the week before his 52 birthday i went to see him and he told me it would be the last time i should see him as he had had enough and wanted to go, on my phone i had a picture of a wild flower in one of the woods and i told him i would call it peter after him he gripped my hand and said i had been a good friend he died two days later one day before his birthday. ANdrew i don't know if you have any bleeding canker material but i have two veteran horse chestnuts bleeding badly and they are in the main garden open to the public i need to know how much damage it does and how quick, these are tall trees but i do not want to fell them if i do not need to. many thanks david.

  12. I am just about had enough of this weather nick rained all day today i worked in it this morning. My list of jobs for this winter is looking like not getting done, all i need is bright frosty days, what say you?

  13. I cannot see how you were rude, i am going to be rude and ask how old are you?

  14. I did not know the flue thing was on never mind i am watching miss naked beauty not much naked in it haha.

  15. I did see you but i was too busy talking sorry. So do you take your cs30/31 on monday?

  16. I HAVE GOT TWO WOODBURNERS in my house and it is roasting aswell they heat up the bricks in the chimneys and heat the bedrooms upstairs as the only woodman on a 6000 acre estate i get plenty of wood and pick the best. did you carve and make those things yourself? they are very good.

  17. I hope you are alright ? I live at the top of an avenue of veteran oak trees and with this strong wind it roars like a lion. The problem is thin walls and i may loose some, never mind it goes with the job.

  18. I just noticed you are the same age as me, have you always worked with trees or did you work somwhere else first. I am just starting to sell firewood and i have bought an alaskan saw mill if you can make them a little money they seem to be happy well apart from the agent he is never happy.

  19. I just saw your face and i thought hello i know that face i have seen it in lots of books and magazines.

  20. I like the oil drum woodburner, thats got me thinking i could make one like that at the woodyard to keep me warm when working there on wet or cold days.

  21. i must not show my wife your valentines meal pictures as i took her nowhere thats what you get after being married for 22 years LOL

  22. I say it is all sporting here but that is not all true, the owner is mad on trees and wild flowers so he is always wanting work done in the woods. we are also trying to clear all the neglected ponds.

  23. I sell firewood in the quad traler and the tractor trailer it has kept me busy at week-ends i am now trying to get enough for next year. i thought you would have taken your cs 30 31 last year? i bet you are still using one at home LOL

  24. I went on a RFS walk the other W/E and there was pigs in the woods and when they are moved the area comes up in foxgloves it was an old deer park. Your job sounds really good better than mine i am not getting in the woods much i seem to be caught up in the hall gardens and grass cutting. I was out today i was making a list of my winter work as there is no planting this year as no funds which is not a bad thing as i can catch up with the cutting work.

  25. I would not call that the dark side i would call that being mature and trying to take things a bit steady as you get older, i think we all would like to slow down maybe get a desk job oh no i think i will stay out side in the cold.
