i have been offered 5 tons of roof slates that have come of a house,
would they work on the yard ground?
if i was to roll them with a vibrating roller, would the break up and be ok to drive on?
or will it be sharp edges and trye trouble?
would go on to of 70mm clean hardcore
any one used slates?
thanks
are you putting anything on top of if? i dont know where you are but type 1 around here is £10 a tonne delivered so you wont buy many tyres for £50
your choice tho

Special vehicle for the purpose of roadside tree maintenance and arising material handaling, and forestry. Running on white derv and requires a certificate of road worthiness (not mot).
Made possible because I am a highways agency authorised contractor as well as doing emergancy work for both them and lpa and the fact it has a fixt mounted implement for the management of trees on it (winch to you and me made it easier)
Got all the stuff from dvla and vosa sorted before I bought it, do it properly 1st time saves a lot of hassle in the long run especially with living within 5mile of a vosa testing point.
But like I said please dont go over this again and again as there is plenty of threds all about it ie mog v vosa etc.
On a plus note work has started

Pictures would be good

are the teeth the same as the carlton wheel?
-
so then , effectively all i need to do is not carry chip on the mog while on the road ?
you need to watch you distance from home.
the restricted o licence is easy enough to comply with so why not?
use it as a selling point with your customers!

if its a 4 cylinder 35 then it'l be a pain to start if its just ticking over on a prosesor. from what iv heard the 4 cylinder was ok as long as in was worked hard regulary
hense why the 3 cylinder was thought to be the better one

i dont think they made many 770s.

"Is it not the hedge round the back your ment to be taking out?"
ops i just did what i was told but theres a bit mssing here now lol
-
How'd you figure that out
Volume wise i fitted the whole of my 130 on the back of my mates 7.5tonner
Weight wise my 130 pre chipbox had a load weight of circa 1.5t, a 7.5tonner double that minimum
Agreed an 18tonner would possibly be better especially with a grab, but the original poster, from what i gather hasnt a HGV licence, although thats a little unclear
Do you need the offroad ability or pto of the Mog?
i should have been clearer i was meaning landrover and trailer v 7.5 tonner
-
your landys will carry / tow as much if not more than the 7.5 tonner so youd need to go to a 18 tonner to be worth all the paper work
-
on the subject of mirrors has anyone fitted extra mirrors for reversing trailers around near side corners, the same as trucks have?
-
well dont paint it the same colour as mine
is there linkage on the rear for a chipper etc
-
looks a nice mog steven
youl find having a crane on the mog great, and having it at the rear would be better than where mine is just behind the cab.
has it had the om366 engine fitted (i think my yellow one had this fitted at the factory but the white one i had before had the om352 even tho they were made in the same year)
have you tried the winch? is it slow?
are you keeping it black?

I tried to report the serial number from a stihl hedge cutter i had stolen 6 months ago.
My local stihl dealer said there is no register for this, very poor show if there is no system for dealers to check all machines that come in for servicing.

HSE has banned the production of semi-automatic quick hitches now (the ones with the saftey pin) and i think new quick hitches (manual and automatic) need to lock the top and bottem pins
i found this out after driving 2 hours to site and ended up sitting for 7 hours waiting for a second machine to turn up to do an hours work
-
the 760 is more than 6" im sure
A T Osborne will soon tell you the difference
the 760 must be a fair age by now. check its hse complient

are the pulleys running in line with each other?
also you get standard belts and you get kevlar belts (i think ) for high stress jobs
-
do you mean just simply knocking the uprights into the ground.
Yes
when you concrete posts in do you put concrete in the bottom of the hole to spread the weight?
oh i dont do decking, just dont like the stuff
-
what about just chapping your uprights in to ground as far as you can?
iv seen plenty round here like this
how would this compare?
