  1. What I can see happening is the majority of arbs not adopting a system that is obviously gonna be hard to implement on a good percentage of jobs then if accidents do happen the personal insurance will be void
  2. I haven’t seen a decent demonstration on a regular job yet not a big old oak with loads of room maybe a dense hawthorn or a multi stemmed Acer or ash reduction normal everyday stuff where throw bags are useless and fluid movement with one rope is hard enough already
  3. My mistake vocabulary wrong ... your right .. They are Certs !! .. So by puwer would that be a requirement
  4. Question ... Do I need a polesaw licence to use one even if you've passed chainsaw use on the ground and in the tree ... also is it a legal requirement to have a polesaw licence
  5. Must admit I'm slowing down a bit now.. My back hurts , my knees squeak I've got arthritis in my fingers ... I've gone from three core yacht rope to multi plait using bowline and prusik to prusik loops and then these new fandangled ropes and loops just started on the hitch climber and cambium savers with pulleys and I'm jumping on the spiderjack when it comes out .. Anything to help me speed up a little and climbing easier.. Problem is the more experienced you get the more difficult the jobs you get
  6. Some of the lower stuff could be deer damage maybe .. Squirrel damage seems to me to be on smaller more tender branches
  7. This thread reminds me of something I really need to do !
  8. Where are the screws I have to take out ... Is it just the two underneath or do I have to remove the handle and most of the plastic chassis and so on to remove what's left of the muffler? No taken the fuel tank off before :-( Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Mines cracked and falling off, is it a big job to replace or can I have a bash one evening , I believe the costs around £30 ?

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
