  1. Hi all, I need your expertise if possible on pricing tree management, basically it's a job with over 900 acres of mature hardwood that hasn't been seen to with over 40 years, it will entail climbing and felling and some extracting more than likely some Chipping aswell, replanting will be totally separate and will be looked after by the groundsman of the land owner. This will be a 1 - 2 year contract. It will mean a full time position for at least 2 qualified arborists and no doubt abit of subbing also, my quesion is how do I price it have many of you come by this before and if so how did you break down contract, I would like if ye could include prices. Many thanks again. Oh and timber will not be used as a bargaining tool. Work only! Thanks
  2. No wouldn't sell her for love nor money
  3. Tried a couple of crack electronic guys but no joy, I will definately keep you posted on what route I take
  4. I will try the german company, do I need to get the display unit with the junction box as on guy told me I would have to
  5. I don't have pics but it's a White box roughly 6" by 6" square behind the display unit
  6. Hi guys, one of my guys power washed the engine in my 19/28 tracked chipper and water got into the junction box and so I need to replace. Does anyone know where I can get a competitive price on one as it's very expensive to buy and have got a few varying prices. It's a 2006 model any info would be much appreciated. Cheers
  7. Chipper is in good nick it came from your company which I bought from another guy here but I reckon there's not 60 - 80 hours up on it it's about 5 years old, so don't think pulleys are out of line. It has not got a no stress on it which I'm definitely going to get as I'm judging with the bar which is slowing things up slightly, how much would no stress set me back?
  8. Good to know that because the last set of belts only cost me €12 in total for the three. Also am wondering is the pto a problem I.e the gearing of it but again its running lovely, what are the symptoms if a chipper isn't geared right?
  9. I'm not hugely mechanically minded but they are tensioned with a normal bolt where you loosen the nut to give you slack to turn bolt to move the pulley and when you think you've enough tension just tighten you nut again, the truck is a 4x4 45/150 I'll send some pics tomorrow
  10. It's the 3 belts driving the chipper, I'm running it on a layland daf truck, would this have anything to do with it like I say it's running very nice other than this problem
  11. Hi all, Having a problem with the belts on my Jensen pto, they seem to be wearing quiet heavily, replaced them 2 weeks ago but today 1 of them packed in and the other 2 are badly worn so will have to replace again does anyone know what is causing this, cracking machine otherwise
  12. Hi guys, Looking for your verdict between TP or Jensen in 6'' pto form both are new and am looking at purchasing which you think is best would really like info. Cheers:001_smile:
  13. I think about £6k which isn't too bad
  14. Hi guys, Does anyone run the 160 I know that this is a new model as it was the 150
  15. My reason behind 6" is the weight issue as it weighs just over half a tonne where as next up is nearly double the weight, I'd love an 8 or. 10" but heard the 6" in TP are meant to be good, was running a Wessex 10" before this but it weighed over a tonne and the frame cracked due to the bouncing around over time but I always felt it just wasn't right so that's why I'm hoping something lighter and capable will do the trick. question on the pto, is my truck suitable for running this chipper? i'v ran a few chippers off it and never had a problem
  16. Hi guys, I'm interested in purchasing a TP 160 pto for my leyland daf 4x4, just wondering if this is good enough to handle normal day to day chipping obviously it's not an animal but my reasoning behind going for this than the 200 is that it's fixed on my truck and there's nearly double the difference in weight plus the fact if I ever want to go in a very bad area I can take it off and get my holder tractor to run it. Basically I just want to know if they are a good machine and can handle and chip well. Cheers
  17. Hi all, looking for a good bruunett 578f or norcar 490 for sale around. Cheers
  18. No both are in Ireland with awhile
  19. Hi All, Will be selling holder A60 mini skidder in next few weeks have 2 of them both runners and both are forestry spec but one needs a new gearbox so will be mixing them both together, both engines are running perfect. Looking for good condition bruunett 578F so may be interested in part exchange. Cheers
  20. Ok thanks for feedback final question though, what method do you all think would really work best? Barge or winch/telehandler
  21. Ok here's what I don't get about the barge, how the hell do you control it in a flowing river, plus is there not alot of handling and awkwardness trying to get branches off the barge
