Wish you a speedy recovery mate - I was away from work from sept 2010 till March 2011 with illness. Was the most fraustrating thing ever and took a while to get back to speed and strength when i eventually went back. The main thing you should concentrate on is getting back to normal - try and forget work if you can - It would be best to go back in a year than try and rush back and put yourself out of work for two years or permantly. I know thats not what you want to hear!
Good luck:thumbup1:

This is like a tongue and groove cut, but on that cut you dont cut the vertical, the wedge will push and slide the trunk up. Your cut seems a bit low to me. job to explain, but a tongue and groove isnt that much more cutting and can stop side-leaners going sideways, by letting the tree stay on the hinge longer without the hinge snapping. I had some photos of my tongue and groove cuts from my woodland work a couple of years ago

I have the same chipper but with the 25hp petrol engine, so cant help you with the rpm. but i do need a bungee to hold the throttle lever flat out. I had to re-new the A/S unit 2 years ago nearly, they dont make the Entec one anymore so Prochip (who have closed now) modified the new one to fit my machine. Have you had battery problems as you MUST NOT jump start these machines as it can fry the A/S unit, unless you disconnect it first. It cost me just under 400 quid for a new A/S unit. hope this has helped mate.

Im so glad you said that, i'd been to greenshields before but had never heard of orange plant in Braintree, took ages looking on google:blushing:

but you can still wrap a cambium saver so that it grips on a single stem, crossing it over so it grips, i do it all the time:confused1:

Universal Engine Power, in Dunmow, Essex. They fitted mine in 2008 and are a great company. good price too and was a better engine as it had an oil cooler etc:thumbup1:

The first day wind up i remeber going to the stores to ask for a imperial adjustable spanner
to be fair, some adjustables have measurements on the side - usually in metric.
But we sent our lad out for a left handed hammer, a pot of welding sparks, sheet of broken glass and a long weight:thumbup:

so the CT scans cause tumours or just reveal those that are already there that we dont already know about? Scary as I have had several of those CT and PET CT scans in the last few months:thumbdown:
Hope you're feeling better soon fella

but I'm quite rough, and slow.
.
My mrs likes that in a man - she said you're hired

looks more abused than used to me... fitted with a hardnose bar and having a loop of tungsten tip chain makes me think that that its had a hard life cutting less than 100% clean wood... stump saw maybe? either way, for £500 i wouldnt bid on it without having a good look at it first
I thought that too - but you wouldnt have a full wrap handle on a stump saw would you??
