  1. Contact The Specimen Tree Company simon batchelor was the tree surgery manager whilst i was there, that was a year ago. most of the work was private in and around auckland, lots of plush properties etc. also did a fair chunk of work for schools and stuff. lots of pruning, tidying up bloody phoenix palms, hedgecutting, and a bit of rigging here and there. good luck mate.
  2. hello nick, sorry for late late reply, never really on here. i worked for the specimen tree company in otahuhu in south auckland. let us know if you need any contact details etc. cheers, james.

  3. hey theremate , i saw you worked in NZ , i wondered what company you were working for?

  4. I spent last year in Auckland, found work within a couple of weeks of getting there, found a cheap motor that did the day to day stuff no worries and drove me from Dunedin to Cape Reinga without any hassle, found a sweet houseshare in Mt Eden for a fraction of what I pay for a pokey flat here in Bristol. Found all that through Trademe, couldn't believe how easy it was for me to get started there. I was on $20p/h which I believe was a lower than average wage for trained arbs. I was more than happy on that, was never short on cash like I am constantly here and I was always out on roadtrips and doing the social thing in the city too. I even saved enough $$$ over 3 or 4 months for a 1 month trip to Malaysia. I had to come back to the UK for various reasons, but miss NZ hugely. Life really is sweeter over there and as you may have gathered, I had no money problems even on a low wage. You'll have your backside worked off, but it's proper work - the kind that has you crashed out on the sofa the second you get home - you will enjoy every second.
  5. Like that music alot, not heard that song before. Cheers!
  6. Awesome work, just watched 60 minutes on demand. I work with Johno and he told me he was off to shoot a porno, must say I was pretty dissapointed, but the volcano stuff's still pretty cool.
  7. hello samuel! i may be in bris tomorrow night and would ruddy love a bit of mr wolfs. i'll ping you a text sunbeam
  8. you must work with sam at lawrence trees? tell him i said hello, i used to work with him a couple of years ago. he's alright, bit annoying
  9. nice one, is that tradmastarna? i worked in stockholm for the summer last year and loved it. i will probably go back next year if i can find the work.
  10. nice work, and great pictures. where in france is that? and did you need wedges/lever for that big piece in the first pic? or did you give it a headbutt?
  11. i did a few jobs for neighbours and friends etc. when i started out and they ALWAYS took the mick, usually asking me to log up what was agreed to be left for them or trying a little cheeky negotiation on a pre-agreed price just as i'm getting started on the job. i don't bother any more cos it just makes it awkward with them and just stick with "proper" clients.
  12. nice. just got a pair myself and am chuffed with them, were comfy right from the off!
  13. nice work. contaminated with what? josh - no, came back last week as the company i worked for lost a big railway contract and sacked pretty much everyone. not too fussed, but would have liked to have stayed in stockholm. how's it going with you? still enjoying it?
