  1. Depends on your body and how you work/climb, I've been climbing for 20 years, I'm 43 now and my body hurts less today than it did ten years ago. "You don't stop doing things because you get old, you get old because you stop doing things"
  2. Bark is not water tight. I would expect 3" branches to dry in well under 12 months, regardless of length.
  3. This time its different, many of us have had the 540t on trial and most people have been very impressed.
  4. You can get them many different sizes. I currently have my unimog (which is just under 12' high) packed in mine, while I carry out some repairs. A pollytunnel also has the advantage of not needing lighting during daylight hours.
  5. Age is a good excuse for people to give up climbing, its not a reason.
  6. Be aware that it may well be contaminated by sand or soil, not great if your cutting it up with a saw.
  7. Very true, but most people are happy to pay good money for the things they need for their HOBBY, look at walkers, fishermen, golfers, they pay a fortune for gear or memberships. The problem is people feel wood should be free or very cheap, same goes for firewood, people seem to think it should be more or less given away.
  8. Not been my experience, I find Sycamore dries quickly and stays dry once dried. Its very good fire wood, IME.
  9. Still waiting for some one to get this one from earlier
  10. Felix got that one earlier mate, can you get my other one????
  11. Did you get the back wall of the chat room knocked out and the extension built OK Steve, was a bit tight last year.
