  5. Hi Al,

I thought for sure you had to be the same person. Fred is still around although i have not seen him for years, i spoke with Andy Pipe (you may know him as he used to work for Durstons) the other day and he said he was not so well and that the doctors had told him to quit smoking. Stan sadly passed away some time ago.

How long were you at Durston woodlands , and did you work with Gordon Gaston? Fred was forever telling us how amazing Gordon was, i never got to see him climb but i know i have worked on many a tree that he did. It never ceases to amaze me how much things have changed and keep changing in this business and that how this work is still addictive not matter how long you do it.

David lives in Northampton now and he works as a laser production engineer, he really enjoys it.

Hope that house at Ash priors isn't too close to your mums house, seems to have been a hell of a lot of houses built at the cost of some good gardens and trees in recent years!

    Colin.

  6. Hello Al.I think we may know each other (vaguely possibly). Let me explain, i went to Taunton school and left there in 1984., after a couple of years doing various jobs mainly farming i ended up working for a company called Durston woodlands. The foreman there called Fred told me Alistair Cormack had worked there for a while before me. I remember someone called Alistair Cormack from school and have always assumed it was the same person who worked at Durstons with fred and Stan. If you are that person you may remember my brother David as i think you may have been in the same year. Any way my name is Colin Inder and i run a Company called Arboricare Ltd down here in Taunton and just thought it was interesting. If you are that person i would be interested to know, if youre not sorry to bother you. Cheers Colin.
