I kinda thought about insa turbos. For the same tread pattern and less money. I'm quite disappointed with the km2s. I was hoping for at least 50k!! I had a Suzuki vitara years ago, with cheap Chinese remoulds. They were made of old plastic bags and did 70k by the time they were half worn! £35 a corner too! I think I'll have a go at some insa turbos.

Anyone use BFG MTs?? What kind of mileage do you get out of them? I have the new ones (km2) on my hilux and I've done 32K miles on them and they're about done. The work landy has the old BFG MTs on and has done about 50k and they're only half worn! Anyone any experience of these tyres or know of a decent alternative?? Thanks in advance!

Let's assume that we need four men and have a budget of £30 an hour. One of them is a particularly good climber and the other three are mediocre at best. With minimum wage, you have to pay them all £7.50 per hour (I don't know what nmw is). Without it, you can pay the good lad £15 an hour and the other three £5 an hour. You get to keep the good lad happy and the other three have an incentive to make more of themselves. Not so ludicrous when you think about it that way is it?

It's a sorry state of affairs that makes so many people defend a £7.50 an hour job! That's a pittance and I wish it was widely condemned as such, but the sad fact is that there are people who will jump at it! until the economy picks up, that's the way it will be. I blame the national minimum wage. It should be abolished so that people are paid what they're worth.

Hello people! Does anyone collect old Stihl stuff?? A friend of mine has a light up Stihl sign that goes outside a dealership I suppose. It's from the 60's or 70's. It's pretty much mint as it just sat in its box for decades in a shed. Any idea what something like that would be worth?? Anyone want to buy it? Any of you dealers? Thanks in advance!

Personally, I'd want £300 a day to just visit London!! I was offered a job in 2005 ish on the underground for about £200 a shift. That would include nights though.

What's the fungi app called?? I'll buy it! I have a couple of tree ID apps but they're very north American and aren't very easy to use. One that is british and asks you a series of questions ( bud positions etc) to come to a conclusion would be awesome!

I tend to agree. I would have done the extra work but would have charged to cover the costs as a minimum. The scope of the work would be covered in the quote and the method statement. So they have documentation to surmise what they will get for thier money. After the first time you charge them for the extras, it'll be them that makes sure that they know what they're paying for!

I'm trying to get on to a DSC level 1 course that's heavily subsidised (about 50%) but need numbers to get the course run. Anyone fancy that??

If you're a woodland worker and have an address in Cumbria, there's a company using some European money to discount training. Up to 80%!! There was a pa1+6 course for about £90 recently! Hi people, We've got a planting contract to do near Keswick and we're snowed under with work, so we need a sub contractor with some lads to do it for us. It's 13000 hard woods in tubes, 2000 0.6m tubes and 11000 1.2m tubes. Should be a good bit of work for someone, it'll probably get bigger each year for the next five years if we find a good contractor. Other work is also a possibility. Contractors with experience and preferably checkable references please. We need a good job doing! Cheers, Craig.
