  1. A good man with a family and mortgage etc wants to know what hes getting each week, a bonus system causes problems imo Good wages, and an off the cuff, unexpected bonus for bringing in a job or getting a job done in quicker time is far better appreciated imo
  2. I'm with Ed £400 18k a year, i'd pay more, if he has a HGV licence or he has great customer relation skills, or can draw in work from a client etc etc A ''good'' groundie is as important as a climber , you need a good man on the ground, a good firm is made up of good men that includes groundsmen! In my experience this type of man is very rare!

  22. Anyone know where I can buy a ''professional'' ph meter? I'd prefer digital , my budget is up to £200. I can find lots of meters for the keen gardener , but i'd like something a bit more professional and longer lasting. I'm getting sick of carrying around bottles of water and mixing tubes etc Thanks for your replies
  23. I'd say day- day and a half if you collect the trees and all sundries, i'd go with 25 not 35 plants, don't forget to price in all your sundries ie stakes, ties , weak compost, mulch and mulch mats [if used]. And don't forget to allow for the the odd tree that might not take and die..
  24. nice bass!
