  4. Complete opposite imo mate, dual wheels all the way! better off road, better stability whilst loaded, better weight carrier.. I like those 4x4 Canters saw them in Oz
  5. We use a Schleising 220, I have nothing but good things to say about it...
  6. nothing anyone can do about a bankrupt i'm sorry to say, most of my clients sign a terms and conditions agreement, nothing too heavy, my payment terms clearly state if you go over 30 days, X% will be incurred daily! i'm not being a smart ass but in all the years i've been trading i've never not been paid, and i've never had a cheque bounce, call me lucky or intuitive, but I can sift the chaff from the wheat 'usually'..

  9. i've been dealing with the guys at B-trac/Vermeer uk for over 10 years , i've got nothing but good things to say about them, service and sales very good imo AS for Sherill, I ordered a few bits and bobs through B-trac, the stuff came in under a month..

  11. I too have felled my fair share of beech with merrip, one tree in paticuler I remember we ground the stump out as far, wide and as deep as possible, and to behonest the roots didn't show any signs of decay at all..
  12. I recall an avenue of Beech riddled with meripilius some 5 years ago, to my knowledge they are still standing! I will check them out this week.

  18. Do we have any members that have worked in Europe? I've been wondering for some time how far advanced or how much further behind the Arb industry is over in northern Europe, I was also wondering if the continentals especialy the northern Europeans view trees differntly to the majority of Brits? imo trees always seem to play second fiddle over here in the UK! If anyone has any experience regarding tree work on the continent, i'm sure we'll all be interested to hear about it..
