  1. I had a customer ask me yesterday if it was possible for wood worm in forewood to get into their house structure..... not knowing anything about wood worms and their cycles myself, i told her that i would have to presume they could...... anyone have better info regarding this?
  2. interesting pics, thanks for joining up!
  3. thats nonsense......ive done many a big tree with a timberwolf or other small chipper.......you just need to dress branches accordingly....i find it fustrating as heck watching people trying to force big brances and forks into smaller chippers, only to start losing their temper and start cussing the machine.....its not rocket science!
  4. heres a thought...he could have cleaned it out regularly?
  5. indeed and that goes for anything IMO
  6. i contract to 2 companies who own tw, and their machines and they've never played up when ive been on site
  7. mine doesnt fall apart........anything lasts when its looked after right.
  8. its not pointless at all....... the point is, its at a weight where younger drivers can tow it......not everyone has the grandad rights that we have with regards towing, and that must be a huge headache for companies now when looking to take on staff.
  9. i take the chute off, but only cos i dont trust it not to fall off...i can tow the weight on my license so thats not an issue.....its a bit of a bug bear but nothing worth losing sleep over! brakes would be nice for sure, but the money the chipper was, again, im not complaining. and no, i wouldnt dream of working so hard that i got through more than a tank of diesel, jeeeez!
  10. i have that jensen.....nothing wrong with it at all
  11. weight more than likely. its ok building bigger machines but when you look at the likes of jensen, timberwolf, they are not just looking for 6" capacity, but at keeping the weight of the machine down.
  12. ahhh...well i am making assumptions that they run on the same principal....more than likely they dont haha
  13. im no mechanic mate......i think on mine the pto drives the belts which in turn drive the hydraulic pump?
  14. i've got the 1X37 but i would assume the principle behind the belt driven splitter must be the same
  15. well if you fitted brand new belts, chances are after an hours work they would have needed tightening. i bet thats your problem....my processor wont split nothing if the belts are tensioned just right
  16. and shes back again [ame] [/ame]
  17. this had me and the missus in stitches [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQdhMSEqhfg[/ame]
  18. what i meant by that was that they are pushy when it comes to upping your premium and coverage
