I am fairly new to the forum, so hello everyone & excuse me if I post this on the wrong thread.

I have learned s0 much since reading on here and am looking forward to any replies.

Has any body had any trouble with Stretchair Type c trousers? Just bought a pair and on chatting to few people, I have heard that zips pop on them easily, Anyone had this trouble?

Also just bought my first harness, Antec Abies, has anyone used them, or any feedback as to wether this was a good/bad choice?

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Chris - welcome aboard!

We are stockists of Stretch Air trousers and yes, you are correct that there have been some problems in the past with the zips and the crotch area bursting on some of these trousers, albeit a small number. Pfanner, the manufacturer of Stretch Airs, being the extremely professional and highly reputable company that they are, have introduced measures in their manufacturing process to make sure that the zip and crotch area have added reinforcement/strength, making their trousers almost bomb-proof! :BoomSmilie_anim:

As Bazbro has commented, Pfanner do recommend that braces are worn with their trousers to prevent the trousers slipping off the waist, 50 Cent style, which would obviously cause added and unnecessary strain to the fabric in the crotch area resulting in potential rips and fresh air intake.

The Stretch Air zip/crotch topic has been covered a few times on here already and I hope this info is of help and reassures you and everyone else that Pfanner/Stretch Air have taken action to address this issue. (Have to also add that we have had very few zip problems with the trousers, but any we have had have been dealt with swiftly and effectively by Fletcher Stewart, the UK distributor for Stretch Air ).

Sorry can't offer any comment on your new harness.

Happy climbing :001_smile:

you will need to have your wiast line up about your nipples to stop the crotch going on the stretch airs, if you are a woman this isnt a problem but unfortunately men have 2 problems with major hiked up waist lines, and i am sure you know what they are. lol

even if you get them up really high the first sweaty day and you will stuggle to lift your leg higher than your opposite knee, welcome to the world of arb mate. amazing trousers i have had one pair for nearly 3 years and i only bought a new pair because they were on special, and they had rectified the problem with the bottoms getting scuffed by putting reinforceing around the ankles. best trousers on the market ino, welcome aboard mate
