Sodium Chlorate taken of shelves

Has anyone noticed that Sodium Chlorate has been withdrawn from sales .

We use it sometimes as a back up when we run out of Ghlyphosate . Anyway its probably something to do with the E U .

Seems it's been a while in coming but I didn't know it had happened.

It was only 5 weeks ago that Buxtons of Penkridge Staffs were pulling them off the shelves . Dont know if that was just for the public ? . Even the cheap pound shops are missing this off there shelves . Anybody know the reasons why .

Glad to help. As for the matter at hand; sodium chlorate you can eat (a bit) and suffer no ill effects so why the European paranoia I don't know. Yes, it persists but looking at some the effects of many other legal chemicals and it doesn't seem to make sense.

Ah - it's used domestically and there's no such thing as the domestic lobby. The farming lobby however is powerful... and I have farming in my background a bit.
