TimberScutterDartmoor I tink you maybe roight there!

 

These newer XP saws really need checking quite frequently as the zorst bolts, AV bolts, wrap around handle bolts, felling spike bolts always seem to work lose. Think I may remove some bolts and clean/degrease and apply a suitable thread locking solution inna bid to keep them in situ.

 

 

R Mac, bout 1 year old now so maybe i shudda asked bout a warranty claim but I rang up and ordered and paid fer the parts over the phone as soon as i spotted the crack.

Echo and Dolmar have to be more robust.

most the 560s do that to the clutch . mine took the crank threads with it .

 

so new crank for your's then? I'm not to impressed as this 560 of mine has not exactly done alot of work.

yes new crank for mine and know 2 other cutters who also had new cranks . if not spotted quickly more damage . it got silly in the end so went to cs620sx . 3 thousand ton on one of them . 1 sonic carb clean and 2 av springs and that's all in 19 months . best move I made
