Petzl vizir and Peltor problem

Thanks that great. That's exactly what's happening. When I bring the visor down it doesn't go all the way, when I push it down full it moves the muff. Kind of annoying. Cheers

I'm glad you mentioned it as I'd initially bought the Peltors but never fitted them. I bought the basic helmet and then bought the mesh visor and MSA carrier separately which then meant I needed MSA ear defenders. I would have assumed that the Peltor system would have fitted no problem even with the vizir fitted.

 

It might be possible to trim the vizir but IMO you'd be better switching to the MSA set-up which works well IMO with the vizir even with the mesh visor also fitted which is what I use.

I bet that's well handy when you're working on the ground looking up and the climbers saw dust is going in your eyes! Can you have the mesh one on too?

Not sure if you were asking me but yes you can have the mesh visor on too, that's the way mine is set up but had to take the visor off to get the Peltor ear defender on.

It's worth a try although it would need bent quite a bit as in the 3rd pic down the wire is under the vizir and already the ear defender is pushed back to touch the rear of the cutaway section on the helmet.

You can use husky defenders on the vertex vent as well.
