Ok, I have decided to look at trading in the iveco 7.5t and the canter 3.5t, and have been offered a nearly new renault master double cab, has anyone used one of these trucks for tree work, and how do they perform on a daily basis? Had a look around it and a quick drive and it seems ok.

a firm i subbie to have a few of them, not current model perhaps 4 years old now. only issue they had was clutches going prematurely and a very poor payload. these all had on board weigh cells on the load bed and i found it shocking as to how little you could load them before the indicator would flash

I used to use one 8 or 9 years ago and it was terrible. It was the truck we all hated to take out. The new ones are most likely a different beast altogether, but I wouldn't count on it.

Aren't they know as Renault Dis 'aster? And the other vans are the Renault tragic (traffic).

Not that i know anything, I've got an LDV. (Late Due to Vehicle)

Dont no about tippers, but my dad runs 2 renault masters with custom bodies. The engines are now both approaching 300,000miles and have only had the odd minor fault. In my experience there very good engines...
