I can only legally tow 3.5 ton on the van so i would assume it combined with the trailer would be way too heavy.

 

I think some of the smaller ones would just about be alright

Obviously not a beast of a machine mulcher might have to go on the van

 

For anyone interested

There are 3.5 tonne rated trailers available for machinery that only weigh 500kgs so that hives you a fair machine
