MS150s are a bit strange, they have limited coils which means the saw will hit the limiter and then the tach will bounce all over the place. I usually open the H screw up to get the revs down and increase them to hit the limiter and do the last bit by ear. The MS150s and MS201s are a bit strange like that and unlike other unlimited carbs.

On my 150 I took of the deflector, 1 screw, then opened up the recess underneath then shaped the deflector out slightly to help improve gas flow, I also advanced the ignition. I've noticed though, working on another 150 that the exhaust has no removable deflector.

My 150 is transformed, incredible difference.

Can you put up a picture of that Carl? Cheers

Hi carl that's what i have done i filed out the recessed metal but haven't touched the deflection hete in the use most saws haven't got any spark screen so never had to deal with this also haven't done anything with the ignition
