On mine the tongue is fixed so that your feet stay dry in deep puddles..... don't have any Velcro on them either. Are yours fake ones?

cheers, Steve

I would check & make sure you are not removing any ballistic material before you take them out. I was told that they were no longer certified without them, but that is just hearsay without the facts

Oh right. It doesn't say anything in the handbook about removing them but my mate's are removable and had velcro top and bottom. I'll just live with it in but it chaffs my shins a bit. Not the comfiest boots I've had either but I tried 3 different brands on and each had something awkward going on. I think my right foot is bigger than my left though. They shouldn't be fake because I bought them at the local dealer

ah, sorry mate, false alarm.... mine have got a Velcro padding behind the tongue.

I found mine felt quite tight and it really does take a good few months of hard work to break them in.

Excellent boots though and I'd probably buy them again.

Some reckon they feel cold in winter.... I just think they should wear better socks!

cheers, steve
