Possible mate .... Dry weather and last years grass and lots of half defoliated Sitka...

 

 

Kielder and Wark forests used to have loads of lookout towers, I remember climbing them with Hutch when we were kids.

Are any still there?

Scary stuff for sure!

 

Reminds me of the Cedar Fire here in San Diego county in 03. Very surreal till the next day when picking through your melted and charred belongings, which of course can be replaced.

 

My heart goes out to the affected residents, as well as my hopes for no fatalities resulting.

Not that I'm aware of ... Probably in keilder , I noticed the hut full of FC fire beating equipment in Wark forest got blown away in the last gales though!
