Thats good matey . I see he is on the red list with fewer nesting chances because of not enough grain around at breeding time . We got plenty of Collards but to be honest not seen a Turtle for some time . Will keep my ears open whilst in the woods .

I presume they are short stopping .

Definately not as common as they used to be .

Alegedly , the seeds they like are in short supply.

 

Its the weed seeds they like and more " efficient " farming is depleating this food source . Those Europeans shoot the buggers whilst on migration as well . ***** !

Do they not 'net 'em'?....... They used to when I worked in Spain.

I don't mind them eating them if there is an abundant supply.

 

Thats the thing there isn't . Id sooner have a woodie anyway You'll never make a dent in the woodie population .
