In some cases it just is about what they have bothered to ANSI (anti kick-back) test the saws with, some times "brand policy" (for different markets) sets in, regardless of that.

 

Use your own judgement, there are a lot of factors in play, that the brand can't control (like different cutting attachments/gearings, different wood, and otherwise different applications).
