Ether Husky or Stihl oils will be fine, mixed properly at 50:1, and shouldnt affect the warranty, tho Husky is green/blue and Stihl is red. If you're worried just buy the Stihl, its around about the same price anyway. My past experience of Husky is that they will try to wriggle out of any warranty claim what ever you do, havent any issues with Stihl to date.

Did a couple of days training with Husqy a few years ago and they said then that they could tell whether their oil had been used in a saw by the staining from the mix, they did not say that it would affect the warranty if it was not their oil used but they assess each claim and 2 stroke oil used is part of the assessment, they also said that their oil is no better than their main competitors so I think it would be very unlikely that they would turn down a warranty claim on the type of oil used alone.

Can you see what you're doing?:001_tt2:

its the way my granddad has taught me and as with the old saws it says to mix at 25:1, he thinks that there isnt enough oil in a 50:1 mix, and hes never had a saw seize up on him
