Husky 350

Have had 3 so far and would get another without hesitation. With the mods Spud said about they have a noticeable step up in response and power. They rev even in standard tune to 13000 free and have 3.1 hp ..there not heavy ether plus have spring AV's. There a decent semi pro Husqvarna , plenty of spares around new and second hand. 351 ...if you can find one is a mag ally case version but the polymer 350 is no bother. One thing..needs the plastic intake clamp upgrading if its not been done ...later ones had a primmer bulb as well.

Polish lad I work with used to work in Germany and Poland in the forests with the 351 , worked them very hard ,still got his and said they are brilliant .

I ran a 350 for about six years I think, it was a great wee saw. I think I traded it in in the end. It punched well above its weight for a semi-pro saw IMO.

Thats how i see them as well..sure there not a 346xp ...but good in there own right.

The 351 isn't that common and i should think makes good sense with the Mag alloy case in a forest environment.

You need to buy a converting collar/base for the cylinder to sit on if you want to put a 346 pot on it. They are available for cheap on t'bay.

To consider:

Aftermarket 346 pot vs Husqvarna 350 pot given quality difference?

Meteor doesn't make a proper 346 pot (353/346 mash-up).

OEM 346 pot would be expensive.

In other news, check the cylinder bolts as I've encountered two of this design with loose ones.

To the best of my knowledge the 351 has the same mag alloy cace as the 346 and has no bace mount. The cylinder bolts on as the pro grade saws...350 has the bace mount as its polymer case.

Absolutely. I worked a lot with that saw before. it's very performed. it was my friend's chainsaw. it's my special one chainsaw.
