What size wood do you anchor on SRT

Skinny mini stuff I either alpine butterfly it or girth hitch it and tension it up so it doesn't move too much.

 

For me that is the beauty of SRT, almost infinite options for anchoring. Sometimes I anchor into fatter stuff then pass the system through a higher point for better angles. In theory if the top one goes it is backed up below.

 

 

I generally do what Rich said.

I usually base anchor and run my rope over a few natural crotches to spread the load but it really depends on the tree.

I think I use four different methods of anchoring and about 7 different re-direct methods.

Bout the same size. The way I see it if you're using a top anchor SRT the forces are the same as with a cambium saver ddrt.

The exception being side loading with redirects, but then I use static or dynamic redirects depending on the situation.

I often find I'm lazier with SRT as I can just lace up different tips as and when I need them. So only get in to the tips to get there rather than needing to to get great access elsewhere. Sometimes my TIP is massive but my dynamic redirects are tiny as long as there is loads of them. The trick for me is to make the working part of your line as short as possible without running out, this makes throwing new natural redirects in easy as you don't have to pull 50m of rope up.
