Help me save ny rowan trees

I wonder if anyone out there could help me save my three mature (about 30 years old) rowan trees? They blossomed in the spring as usual but for the first time ever there no berries and they are losing their leaves much too early in the season. Last autumn we installed a ground source heating system which involved digging up most of the gsrden with a heavy digger to s depth of one meter to place the water pipes. These are not situated near the trees but the fact is this work coincides with the state of the trees. Is there some disease that affect rowans? We are located in the West of Scotland on heavy moorland soil.

Please advise.

Do you have a gardner ? Has he been strimming around the base of the trees ? Hard to tell from those pictures but it looks like they have been strimmed round damaging the cambium.

Excavation works are worthy of consideration but it's very hard to say without seeing the site.

There are guys on this forum near you best to get somebody to come out and take a look.

I went up to look at the trees. there is no Marks from strimmers at base of trees. all 3 of them have lost almost all there leaves and have large amount of dead branches on them.

there was heavy machinery on site...but as far as i was told they were working a good distance from them. The are near other pines that seem perfectly healthy. the ground seems to have good source of water.

I have a branch i have been meaning to take pic of and put up here. But so Busy i have had no time.
