Funny marks on Larch

Was out felling today and found a few trees with black on them and funny growth for about the first 8ft but i am not sure what is going on and wondered if anyone is able to help?

 

is all that stand larch? if not do any other species have it - it could be PR - I think you should repot it just in case as PR loves larch - if it is control measures will need to be put in place ASAP

I hope you mean report - to repot all those trees will take a while! :laugh1:
