Anyone had a anti vibration spring snap for no reason ? I've repaired it by buying spring for £1.77 and easy fix but anyone had this ?

AV springs normally snap when saws are thrown around dropped and bashed around in transport. Then a bit of vibration through them finishes them off. They're a wear part really they actually do a lot of work soaking up vibes which must weaken them somewhat.

I think it happens more on modern saws. The vibrations that they're soaking up is immense to get it down to 3m/s at the hands. That engine is around 13000 rpm. Metal gets hot gets cold hot again bashed about and then it snaps. I never broke any on the 346/357 but I've done one on a 550. Saws being blunt and thus leaned on in the cut tends to wear the springs a bit quicker too.

Your level of understanding due to not having the experience before is being overtaken by suspicion imo.

Your saws are rattling around in the back of a cab, maybe it's a plastic liner or maybe you have sat heavier things ontop of the saw.

It happens, well actually it has never happened to me but I secure my saws down and don't put heavy things on them :)

Glad you got it fixed :)
