Been blunting chains today. Thought the first one had gone blunt so put a new one on and went straight into the same stone. I wonder how it got in the middle of an 18inch log....

I really don't know how you pro's manage to work in this game during the summer. I know I'm old & fat, & it was on a really steep slope in a hedge, but a couple of hours today cutting out some badly overhanging branches & small trees between two of my fields has left me whacked! I cut to length & split the few bits of this load that needed it (about 20%), but I still have to stack it.

This is the first time I've ever done this out of winter & I ended up a bath of sweat, went back to the house for the second shower of the day & pondered how you lot manage to do this for 8+ hours every day – respect!:thumbup1:

Also are any of you still busy processing forefoot, I'm pretty rammed out at the minute, just about to go and ring up a load of oak arb waste also got loads of probably 3-5 year seasoned willow, poplar and a bit of ash to cut up as well, all very nice and seasoned and dry near enough ready to burn!

Thats a few hours stacking. Good work

Do you leave gaps between the rows and how long do they take to dry?
