Chipper rad was due a recore, so that was done and Im just refitting it now.

Found the pictured caps, one from each side of the block, just laying in the bay.

Im assuming they are blanking plugs fitted in the factory for different water cooling layouts? Is that correct?

Why have two of mine come off? Machine had been getting a little warm due to the leaky rad but nothing major.

More importantly, how to get the buggers back in and sealed? Thats assuming it is the water jacket im looking at inside.

Any input would be great, kinda need the machine first thing.

Cheers :thumbup1:

Yep, thought that, I wish could have some frost it would beat all this rain and mud, good luck

Let just hope they did the job. I have built a few engines in the past and tinkered on hundreds yet never some across them!

Cleaned them up sealed them in, should be good, Cheers

They are called freeze plugs in some countries, not usually reused though. They are sold by size and don't cost much. Clean the hole out well and fit with a bit of sealant.
