Thanks Steve, yes you are right, i was using a branch stump from the main piece to carve the head and to utilise fully the wood i had, a mistake to try and make something fit the wood with my novice skills. I will get some decent pieces to carve from oneday perhaps.

Hahahahaha the trouble is i didnt intend to achieve that look :lol: i carved an Owl last year and i had the same Harry Potter feedback...... Im carving a Squirrel tomorrow, god knows what character that will turn out like, cheers Steve
