Afternoon all,

Wondered if anyone could help me work out how many cu meters of hardwood you get from a ton of green fresh felled Ash/sycamore/field maple once processed ?? Thanks. Got 16 ton cut down weighed with trailor weighloader which is fairly accurate as we use it for grain & fertiliser.

Thanks Woodworks, I deliver loose with tipper trailer. Heard that, got some 1m3 vented bags to try seasoning in so will bear that in mind.

I'd say it's more... A cube of green wood (solid) is around 600kg, therefore a ton is 1.6cube of solid wood. Then a cube of solid wood produces about 1.5 cube of logs.

I'd reckon around 2.4 cube?

hi over the year always reckon o 2m3 per tonne of hardwood mixed.Seems to

have been the same for me for the last 20 years.

Delivered in 1m3 pick up loads or used to do 2m3 transit loads so always the same quantity unlike bags that stretch.

Cheers Chris.
