357 hard to turn over

I have had a fair few in over the years with this symptom that have simply been down to an incorrect chain fitment.

The chain had been refitted for whatever reason and the drive links had not seated in the rim, but instead had seated between the rim and the side case.

This puts load on the drum and crank and luckily makes it difficult to start or damage could ensue.

Not saying that's the case here, but worth checking. Its often the simplest things.......

Guys, its sorted. A quick fix, the chain was up against the rim sprocket. Thanks to all the replies. As soon as someone mentioned it, the light came on in my head as I remembered I put the 18" bar on before heading out. Was worried for a while at the potential ££££'s. Cheers
