Felling licence maps

Now that NRW is no longer part of the Forestry Commission, they can no longer provide maps that are required for the felling license.

So far the cheapest map that i have been able to find at 1:10,000 scale is £146, but it is only for 35 m3, so it is not worth it.

So what do you the good folk of Arb talk use ?

Suggestion helpful or otherwise always gratefully recieved.

Can't you request a map from the fsc? You just provide grid reference and scale.

On Mapserve.co.uk/maps_pricing it costs £12.64+vat for one hectare (with their professional account).

I haven't applied for a felling licence for 20 years.

 

You could use a 1/1250 planning extract which may cover the area you want. In my day as long as there were 2 grid lines 4" apart they would accept them.

 

a pdf site plan on A4 costs about 15 quid to license for a year, any maps made during the year may be archived.

 

Else buy a paper copy licence and copy an earlier map.

 

remember to put the copyright notice on it.

Thank you peoples, it turns out that they do do maps, they just did not know that they did.

However i did find this in my searches.

Which has a basic mapping function.
