i keep getting emails from foreign log companies from eastern europe and was thinking about contamination from chernobyl i wonder if this is possible any thoughts chaps

Are you sure these are genuine emails and not spam or some sort of scam?

 

However if the logs are radioactive they may burn hotter :D

I'm fairly sure that if the logs had any signs of radioactivity it customs would soon pick up on it.

 

 

 

However if you were offered cheap glow in the dark logs from the chernobyl forest i might be a little concerned. :)

 

On a more serious reply, look at this map. Basically don't buy from near the pretty colours. Latvia, Lithuania which are the main suppliers will be fine

If people are willing to transport and sell such dubious things, I dare say there's other nefarious things they're willing to do, in order to get it done.

 

Perhaps, nicking the truck; not paying their workers; leaving this country with more goods of suspect origin, than was brought in. Just thoughts.
