I won a dolmar multitool on the xmas raffle donated by shavey, all I can say is if the build quality of this tool is the same as the saws I may well be looking at changing from stihl to dolmar. Thanks shavey:thumbup1:

No problem Steve yes it is a solid bit of kit that multi tool

 

Did you see your favourite lady on that program lips sync on Friday :thumbup::thumbup:

Missed it mate, mind you if carols not on minder/Sweeney/rising damp/fawlty towers or porridge then I wont see her:laugh1:

What's the benefit of the HD filter and is there any advantage in fitting a non cat exhaust to these saws, if that's even possible?

 

Yes there are benefits of a heavy duty air filter on a proffesional saw its one of the hardest working parts on a saw running full tilt cutting fast with wood chips and dust only inches away , so the better the filter the better the air flow and it's easy to clean :thumbup::thumbup:

 

As for the muffler on these saws there isn't a Kat in this one its a SLR exhaust

Which is the old 7900 muffler re modelled to meet current EPA emissions

They dropped the top rpm

Ps-7900 13,500

Ps-7910 12,800

But claim max power is @ 10,000rpm

 

So if you do put a 7910 or 7901 muffler on please re-tune accordingly to compensate :thumbup::thumbup:
