Timberwolf Chipper Trouble

After a bit of help from anyone in the know!

Got a Timberwolf 150 Chipper that's about 10 years old and has been working fine but last week the rollers just stopped working when ever you fed anything slightly demanding in. When it stops all I have to do is drop the revs off then push em back up it carries on working until the next load. It's as though it wants to pause for the stress but just doesn't kick back in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :confused1:

Have you tried the bypass on the stress control? It could be playing up, unplug the little spade terminal then see if the rollers do the same as you described, remember the chipper will stall if you put anything big in so be ready on the control buttons.

If this doesn't help check the control switches inside the box.

Let us know how you get on.

is it a timberwolf (orange) or an entec (yellow).i have a 97 entec and had exactly the same problem,if its not running abbsolutely flat out then you have this problem, after three trips to the local agent and a new stress control they spoke to timberwolf and found out that it was an adjustment at the engine end that needed to be made. now its great!

apparently the engines on the entec run slightly faster than on the timberwolf

It's the Timberwolf Orange, and i've just been out to have a play with the throttle and your spot on. It was about 1mm from it's full open position and wouldn't stay all the way down so I have adjusted it engine side to give it that extra bit of rev and working like new again!!!

Thanks to you all for your help and advice.

ah i see whats wrong now! when the machines have a bit of use theres a plastic bit which keeps the throttle lever at full revs (this is hidden), this can wear and the throttle backs off slightly, we just have a bungee cord from a pre made hole in the front of the side pannel to the throttle lever, job done!
