Nesting Season

Just popped into my head. Might be a stupid question but...

What do other tree surgeons do about the nesting season? Does work continue after getting surveys done or just taking a look in the tree? As long as no nests just continue as normal?

I normally get my tree work completed during the winter months but more work than ever looking as though thats not going to happen this year.

Plenty of threads about this.

It can be a bit of a bone of contention on here.

Ranging from those who would stop a motorway build for a pigeons nest to those who would fell a leylandii with a Andean condors nest in for a fiver cash.

The excuse I normally use is "If I didn't participate in the extinction of rare species some-body else would"...

(Oh, I did the Condor job last month)
