well finally the local dealers got some aspen in at last after a wait of 6wks went to pick some up......well what can i say, at least dick turpin wore a mask,

£14.99 for 5litres :confused1:

thats a 60p/litre price rise, is this now because it comes in a husky branded can and they have changed the name from 2T?

could any of the dealers on here let me know if this is the new standard price or are my local suppliers taking the micky? (bearing in mind in normally buy 15-30litres of the stuff at a time)

i have always justified its use, but at that kind of money its crazy, i do like the stuff and all my kit is set up on it, but a 60p/ltr increase is stupid its now nearly 3x the cost of petrol, im going to have to look at just using it on the jobs i have to. Its a shame as i do buy into all the benefits health and environmental,

I deal Aspen - not very much in that I tend to use it all myself.

The RRP is £12.20 + vat with the recent price rise which gives £14.03 inc vat.

I have used it for 3 years now and do think it better for man and machine.

Your best bet Charlie is to get a delivery of 54x 5l cans which you'll get free shipping and a good price - around £10.50 + vat each can.

But it's expensive no matter what you do - makes my eyes water each time I get mine in..... :001_huh:

  • 1 month later...

I got some free as part of an intro offer, and it made my saws do all kinds of funny things. My Ms200t sounded like it was running out of fuel all the time with no power. So i adjusted the low screw which worked then it did it again! I contacted the supplier who told me i needed to change some of the seals in the carb!!! Why would i do that when its cheaper to but normal fuel which works really well!!!!!

as husky were the importer i cant see them having any issue with it use as it was badged as husqvarna for a bit,

Husky and Stihl sells Aspen with there saws here in Sweden and i have seen it in Germany too, just different labeld cans so there should be no warranty issues with it !?

Theocus I think you should only use Aspen if you used it in the saws from the start when new, otherwise it solve residues from the homemade mix like carbon build up and such .
