Best split smallish and barn stored. Will dry in a few months and then be perfect. Not long lasting but good to add in the mix with harder stuff like Ash, Oak or Thorn.

Hi STEREO the ash of poplar go like toilet paper not so good as beach ash oak thanks but ok mixed in thanks Jon

It burn or should one say, smolders thats why its used for matches. it must be dry it rots away when you are not looking, good for end of day to keep fire going with out much heat great for out side fire BBQ when it coals, careful when windy, its realy good at making the grey stuff that gets in eyes and always on the steak, it make a nice potters glaze but thats another story.
