Stihl MS250 carb issues

I really don't understand this, I mail them with the parts I need, they send through a Paypal request, I pay and they deliver within 24hrs.

It's easy enough to understand, I spoke to a man on the phone and asked about parts for the Dynamac carb, he told me how much for the diaphragm alone and I declined because I could get a complete carb overhaul kit for about a third of the price. If I was stuck for the part or needed them in a hurry I would buy but I wasn't so I opted to go elsewhere.

I guess this carb wasn't a Zama Tillotson or Walbro, could be the reason:confused1:

I contacted them easily enough but I thought they were expensive. They wanted over £10 plus postage for a diaphragm when a complete kit from ebay was under £4 post free. That was for a Walbro on my old Dynamac. A friend of mine bought a complete Zama carb for his 039 from an ebay seller for around £20 delivered.

Walbro like I said in the first post, it was a couple of years ago now. He was pleasant enough on the phone when I declined to buy and I would buy from them if I needed anything obscure or in a hurry.

Its almost like we are talking about two different companies though I do my comms by mail and personally rate them as probably the best supplier I have with my parts supplier a fraction behind them!

I don't see where this is going sorry, I haven't said anything bad about the company just that they were expensive for a single diaphragm and I went elsewhere :confused1: I'll try not to say anything that can be misconstrued in future.

Sorry, I meant nothing by it and am just perplexed as to the disparity between the two opinions. No bad intentions intended and you are welcome to air your opinions and agree with most of yours in the past!
