Dolmar in the UK

Does anyone know if Dolmar saws are imported into the UK? Please don't say yes they are, but they are blue and labelled Makita because I want orange ones that say Dolmar!

 

Some of the competition chaps at last weeks ConFor had them so I'm hoping...???

makita in all their wisdom decided we (the u.k) dont need both the dolmar and makita range, where as the rest of the world can buy honest to god orange dolmars and their blue and grey siblings...

 

you'll need to make a trip to europe (or anywhere else in the world), or if you dont mind not having c.e marks i could put you in touch with a dealer in the u.s.

i wish we could i wouldnt mind having a new dolmar, it wouldnt compare to the old dolmars tho, gotta love them, we've got a dolmar typhoon, dolmar cc and sachs dolmar 153 that are still in regular use, and a shed load of dolmar parts many from the sachs dolmar range

Apparently they are the prefered pro saw in Germany at the mo; over Stihl etc...

They are now being imported into the UK. What's not clear is if it's via legit shipping container or rowing boat in Cornwall!

 

Will update as I find out more.
