Nice. Has anyone seen that video on youtube that shows the aftermath of a small maple (i think) being struck by lightning? It literally explodes into a million pieces and there's hardly even a stump left. One of those million pieces ends up embedded in the side of someone's house!

edit: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6PJdAee7qY]I've found it.[/ame]

we had one of our big oaks hit over summer, it blew a 10" wide strip of bark of down one side of the tree, you could see where it had spiraled down the crown, but now two months on it has just shed a load of limbs mainly where the strike had spiraled through the crown, i will try and get some pics when i am up near there again

Had a wellingtonia around 200ft hit by lightning in the late 80`s

Turned it to a chard split stump of about 30ft, the debris was spread over a 200ft area.

Thankfully no people or houses near by.

Got some pictures somewhere if i find then i will scan them in.
